RFC Issue

Hi All,

We have a project in SAP Portal 6.0 SP18 and in this project using developer tools for SAP Portal (SAP Netweaver Developer Studio 2.0 patch 18, Visual Composer.

We need access direct to the many tables in SAP R/3, and need using the RFC for access to the columns in the table.

We use the SAP Netweaver Developer studio 2.0, for connect and import RFC Model.

When try to connect to R/3 system, is ok, but , when try import RFC Model send the following error:

[Fatal]: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: Missing R3NAME=... or ASHOST=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx

[Info]: Creating Model: HHHH

[Error]: Error in retrieving RFC: BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETDATA

[Fatal]: com.sap.mdi.MetaDataAccessConnectionException: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: The function module "DD_DOMA_GET" not released for 'remote' calls.

The problem is the function DD_DOMA_GET does not RFC in the current version SAP BAT Mexico (SAP R/3 4.5B) and we search and found the folowing note 717838, in this note mention that the function standard is possible modify using the object access key.

These change would be impact in the response time the system.

What is you recomendation and comments for resolve this issue, because we need continue working in developer the applications in SAP Portal 6.0 SP18?

Some people write their own RFC enabled wrapper for a FM that isn't RFC enabled...
