RFC Connection test error

Hi everybody,

i'm creating a simple RFC destination (R3 connection) from XI to ECC 6.0.

I insert all of the information required, but when i do the connection test, there' s the following error:

ERROR service '<nameservice>' unknown

LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host <myhost> / <nameservice00>

DETAIL NiPGetServByName: service '<nameservice>' not found

Could somebody help me?

What i have to check or what i have to do?

Hi Sonya,

Check whether you have give correct gateway hostname and gateway service (ie. your XI server hostname and service).

Hi Sonya,

Could you please try connection test by removing Gateway Host and Service entries from GateWay Options.

Please let us know the result.

Go to SMGW tcode check the right gateway, and provide these in RFC destination.

Gatehost name and service should be of your server on which you are making RFC destination.
