Retrieving Data from Query

Hi Guys,

We want to rerieve data from a query but the issue is it has more than couple of millions of records. Can you suggest an optimum way of doing this?

Thanks for the reply. What I am needed to do is to find an optimum solution for retrieving data(million records atleast) from a query in which there are some complex calculations done and send it to other systems. I am not suppose store the data in ODS.

Sudhir,

Using APD, not only u can store data from the query in BW itself, you can also send data to external CRM systems. This is the standard method to export data from a query.

Or, once you store the data in an ODS in BW using APD, use InfoSpokes to export the data into flatfiles etc.

Have you taken a look at the Analysis Process Designer (transaction RSANWB)? Take a look at this link:

Using the APD you can store the query data in an ODS. You can also apply transformations like aggregation, sort or filter.
