Hi friends,

I am using a cube which is BIA indexed. If i load new requests to the cube, and BIA roll up was not done. In this is case ll they reporting shows the correct data or it misses some data.

If it shows correct data in the reporting, how it is possible with out BIA roll up.

regards.

Balu.

Hi Balu,

there are some cases where queries will show data even it is NOT rolled-up yet:

- Queries on real-time InfoCubes.

- Queries using variables for request id (0S_RQMRC, 0S_CSRQ, 0S_RQTRA, 0S_RQALL, 0LSTRQID). See SAP Note 1007722.

- Queries with property set to "most recent" data. See SAP Note 1136163.

Hi Balu,

when you check the cube(right click/manage) you will see that the last request will not be availabe for reporting, becuase it will be waiting to be rolled-up to BIA (and to the other aggregates where available).

To answer your question, you will miss the data untill you roll it up.

Cheers

Hi Balu,

Welcome to SDN.

If it shows correct data in the reporting, how it is possible with out BIA roll up.

--> Yes, It shows correct data. If data not available at BI Accelerator, it checks below at aggregates, or below at cube level.

A BI query always tries to use performance-optimized sources by checking the sources from which it can draw the requested data. It checks the sources in the following order: ...

1. OLAP cache

2. BI Accelerator index

3. Relational aggregates from the database

4. InfoCubes from the database

Hope it Helps
