Write a query on it.

To enable a characteristic for query writing, it has to be marked as a InfoProvider. To do this, specify an InfoArea in Master Data/Texts tab of the infoobject and hten you will see it in the query designer.

When writing a query on a Characteristic, Number of Rows is added as a key figure automatically to count number of say customers in a city, etc.

it doesn't affect on the performance for other queries that use the InfoObject ?

Hi!

I think will not affect the performance in any way and has no link to other queries.. may be they will be affected when you access in parallel but otherwise has not relation. by marking theinfoobject as infoprovider we this table is just displayed in the Infoproviders list in RSA1.

with regards

There will be no impact of performance on the queries that use this InfoObject.
