Report doesn't show wide enough but printout OK

I am using VS2010 and when I run a CR, on the screen, about 1/4 of the report is cut off on the right. I've searched the web and not found a solution. I've widened the reportviewer but that doesn't help. If I print the report, it prints correctly, it's only how it displays on the screen.

Any ideas?

Jim

Hi Jim,

The viewer is set to your default printer settings if you have checked on the No Printer option in the report. Or if the printer is not available it will also default to portrait.

If you turn off the Parameter or Group Tree option do you see the whole page?

The report should be portrait.

There used to be a property DisplayGroupTree but it is now obsolete. I cannot find how to get the group tree to not appear. I tried setting the GroupTree CSSClass to a class that had display:none and width:0px and it still shows.

How can I get rid of the Group Tree? I've set ToolPanelView to None in my aspx code and CrystalReportViewer1.ToolPanelView = CrystalDecisions.Web.ToolPanelViewType.None;

in the cs code.

See Kb [1183704 - How to display or hide the Group Tree in CrystalReportViewer control through code in Crystal Reports 2008|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333133383333333733303334%7D.do]

I was finally able to get rid of the GroupTree but the report displays the same way. I already had this code

CrystalReportViewer1.ToolPanelView = CrystalDecisions.Web.ToolPanelViewType.None;

but the GroupTree didn't go away until I added these two lines

CrystalReportViewer1.HasToggleGroupTreeButton = false;

CrystalReportViewer1.HasToggleParameterPanelButton = false;

I finally found my solution to the report not display properly. I was trying various properties when I set

RenderingDPI ="120" in the aspx page and it displays exactly the way the printed report does.

As soon as you mentioned the DPI, I remembered that there is a Blog on this issue. For anyone that follows this thread in the future:
