Swith to "Design Mode" then select the individual design elements and remove. Then swith back to "Analysis Mode" you will see that the information doe not display. Then you have to change the VBA macros such that the Columns C & D for Filter and the rows 5 to 11 for Information do not collapse.

Easier way is:

Open a blank excel sheet and inset the "analysis grid" and attach a query to it.

Hope this helps.

Kumar,

Using ur 1st option to remove all the objects the third row consisting of filter, chart and information are not getting deleted..actually my purpose is to bring the query to A1 column of the excel sheet, for this purpose do i need to go deleting the objects are can be done thru any other option?

And with that 2nd option actually when u open the query automatically the default three rows which we want to delete will be coming,so its also not working.

Thanks for the reply,

In the 2nd option, follow the following steps:

1. Logon to Analyzer

2. Open a new Excel sheet from here (Don't run the query)

3. select cell A1 (Don't change the cell selection till you complete the entire process)

4. Insert Analysis grid

5. Click on the design item "Analysis Grid"

6. Create a new Data provider

7. In the same window in Query /Query view select your query and click on OK

8. Then again click OK on the Analysis Grid Properties window

9. Switch to Analysis mode.

Now your query is there with no filters / information / chart.

Hope this helps.

Hi Bhargava,

I am refering to your 2nd option suggestions and trying to replicate but struck at step 4. Where do I find the Analysis grid? Is this in the BEx Analyser?

I would appreciate it, if you could help me providing navigating paths throgu rest of the steps.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Murphy,

The steps are:

1.Open a new excel sheet.

2.Select A1 cell and insert the Analysis grip(which will available be in the toolbar of BEx.)

3.After the grid is inserted click on the cell,it would open up a dialog box ,click new data provider and in the next box select the query you want to place.

4.Give all necessary 'OK's and return back to the excel sheet.

5.Exit design mode and switch to analysis mode..now you will see the query starting to appear from the A1 cell.

Hope it helps.

Sorry Monica, I could not find an option to insert Analysis grid in BEx tool bar!

We are on BI 7.0 with GUI 3500.9.044

Your further navigation steps greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
