Hi Siva,
If the loading job is in Yellow and taking long time then we need to kill the JOB. there will be many other scenarios in which you need to kill the job in SM37.. Like you trigggered a wrong job., Process chain stuck and not proceeding for next job...
Methods to Kill --
Go to SM37 --> type * and Click Execute --> select the respective Job > on Menu Bar Job>Cancel Active JOB
or
Go to SM50 --> Select the Process and go to the Menu bar Process --> Click Cancel with Core
All Background jobs will be shown in sm37...
Hope this helps,
Sudhakar.

1. While doing extractions we kill the jobs in SM37 When the data load is behaving like a long running process.
2. Suppose if u are extracting data from SQL server then we will kill the process in the BW system.
SM50 check the background process which is running and select the process and select Process menu and select cancel with core.
If u are extracting data from R/3 system we need to kill the process mentioned above in the R/3 system.
3.In the SM37 it contain the process such as ALERemote jobs, psa deletion jobs, and Basis related jobs.
