Regarding setup tables

Hi all,

I have a doubt on setup tables?

for 2lis_11_vaitm i am filling the setuptables ..

I haven't changed anything in the extract structure.. is it necessary step to delete the setup tables ?

without deleting the setup tables can we fill it?

because my salesorg are new to the system & some sorg data already filled in the setup tables.we don't want to delete the setup tables -- because the earlier data should have been missed, if i delete..

what is the correct approach??

When you fill set up table it has data only till the time you filled the set up table.

You would miss any transactions which happened later.

Also if you fill same data again it results in duplicate entry.

Best approach would be lock the users from posting, delete set up tables,fill the setup tables.Do init in BW and later on go for delta.
