hello,
i finally made it to xcelsius 2008, but i am running into issues/differences that i can't figure out and can't find an answer to here or the online help file.
in cx 4.5, when you clicked the import model button, you had the option to refresh the data source, as well as some other options. in xcelsius 2008, these options have been removed.
i need to be able to take a spreadsheet that a user modified and/or added data to, to refresh the model.
is there a way in 2008 to let users refresh the data in a spreadsheet without my intervention?
if so, what is the name of the feature. i looked in the help file, but didn't see anything that looked like it would do what i need.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
tracy

hi oren,
i watched maybe 2 minutes of the first video on the link that you sent me.
i looked in xcelsius 2008 for the xml refresh option and freaked when i didn't see it.
after plowing through the online help, i found out that it is now in the data manager.
now, all i have to do is to get up the nerve to learn some xml, which i have tried to avoid (smile).
i wish that there was an easier way to allow users to refresh the data.
this will take me some time to learn, but i will do it.
thank you so much for the link, i really appreciate it.

Tracy,
YES, you can refresh the data without your intervention...
