Hi all,

Reconstruction tab of "infoprovider manage" is still used on BI with 2004s?

now i find entry of this tab (reconstruction) would not be there though deleting request of the cube on 2004s.

So I guess after 2004s it is not be used because data is stored on PSA and can be uploaded via DTP and recunstruction function is not more required..

Kind regards,

A. Aoki

Hi Aoki,

Yes. You are correct.

If you have 3.x objects in your data flow, you can emulate the 3.x DataSource to model the data flow with transformations and a data transfer process (DTP). This means that you can benefit from the features of the new concepts. In InfoProvider administration of an InfoProvider to which data is being updated from an emulated DataSource, the DTP Status column on the Reconstruction tab page shows whether an active data transfer process exists for the request.

If data is updated by a data transfer process, you cannot reconstruct. For this reason, in SAP NetWeaver 2004s SPS 8 you have the option to deactivate the data transfer process. You do this using the pushbutton in the DTP Status column. In addition, you use this pushbutton to call DTP maintenance.
