"PSA error" and "error 6 in the update" ...VERY IMP!!

Hi All,

I am facing this very strange and critical problem.

Delta load failed due to "PSA error" and "error 6 in the update" for two Infosources.

The Infosource 1 ( Header)- I was able to successfully edit the PSA error and update the delta from the PSA to the ODS....problem solved

The Infosource 2 ( Item ) - The delta for this request is sent to from this Infosource to ODS's .It is allowing me to edit the PSA data and save it. But even after editing and saving, when I am updating the delta to the ODS the request goes red. When I see the reason, I find the same "error in the PSA "and the" Error 6 int he Update". Looks like the edited data is not getting saved.

The error in PSA was ..date was wrongly entered with wrong year in it. So therefore it clashes witht he fiscal yr variant for that infosource.

Tried to do repeat delta for the next delta. Same issue.

__1. No clue why the edited data is not getting saved__

__*2. What is this " error 6 in the Update"*_

In the Status tab of monitor of that request:_

Hi,

I guess it may be authorization issue to save the data at PSA level...

And also u can edit at source level and reload from source to PSA again by repeat delta...

R u deleting the old request in ODS before editing the data in PSA...?then only it'll give u option iof editing and saving the data...

I will not be able to edit the data without deleteing the request. Sure I delted it.

Do you have any idea why I am getting this "Error 6 in the update", Please?

Hi,

Here may be the error still exists in the PSA even after saving...so pls chk whether there is authorization to edit/save it...it may also create this issue...

After reloading the records r u getting the same error records which u r getting before or the records are changing?

So pls confirm tht u have edited and sabed all the erroneous records in PSA...

I got the same PSA error for another Header Infosource which updates data to one ODS, for which i could edit the data and then update the edited data into the ODS. The changes i have done are saved and had no issue with the infosource. and the load is successful.

But for this Item Infosource ( updates data to two ODS) , i got the same PSA error( Date entered worng) , i was able to edit the data in the PSA and save. but after editing and saving when i update teh request( after editing PSA) the request goes RED ( which means the i get the old values..wrong data).

Why am I not able see the changes i have done when i update the delta from PSA to ODS after editing?....really strange.

Is there any problem in the update rules or something for this Infosource( not sure)..becos i am gettng this "error 6" in the Update.

Please Rescue!

Hi,

I'm not sure y it is happening but try to follow this process once...

Delete the Header Infosource request from the ODS and then edit these records in the Item source PSA and save and load one after the other each request and try...Its jst a try...

Dear,

You can do the manual updation as:

First make status red of request in target and PSA then go to PSA Monitor > Details select the perticular request which is red, Right click on it and slect PSA mainten then correct the date then again right click on request and choose manual update then referesh.

This may help you.
