Question to FPN and SAP Reference System

Hello together,

I have a question regarding FPN.

Situation:

1. Two portals:

- Portal 1 uses a LDAP and Usernames abc

- Portal 2 should use Usernames xyz

2. There must be a Federated Portal Network between the two portals.

3. I think that using a SAP Reference System (see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/ed/845896b89711d5993900508b6b8b11/frameset.htm) can enable SSO between the two portals and the the FPN working.

Can this scenario work or does portal 2 must have the same username as portal 1? Or is there another possibility to get a FPN working with the two different usernames?

Thanks for any help.

Best Regards

Philipp Kölsch

The user base prerequisites for FPN are as menioned here:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/a7cd90ba6f17b4e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

Hope this clarifies.

Hello!

Thanks for the fast reply, but from the documentation (which I have read) it is not clearly stated, if my scenario could work or not.

The same users should exist at both ends, or the user base should be common. Otherwise it won't work.

Hi,

your scenario won't work. The user IDs have to be identically.
