Question: how to reloading data from DSO to the cube

One DSO contains data and already had infoobject 0employee in it. Based on DSO there is a cube which also contains data, but this cube didn't have infoobject 0employee. Now I want to add this infoobject 0employee into new dimesion table of cube.

Loading information: DSO has infopackage existing for initial loading and delta loading and full uploading as well as repair full upload.

Question: how to reloading data from DSO to this cube in my case? Thanks!

Hi,

You can check the remodelling option in the case of cube but would not recommed it.

Modify the cube and add the new char...but since you require the history for the new infoobject...for that you will have to delete the data from the cube.

So jsut do this

1)Delete the data from the cube

2)make the changes to the cube and update rules and transport the changes

3)Do full repair loads from the DSO to the cube.

No need to do anything with existing init as deleting the data from the cube will have no effect on the init from the DSO to the cube.

But just check the data mart status of the request in the DSO after deleting the data from the cube...if its gone then you should do a new init without data transfer and make sure that when you are done with the full repair to the cubes then no request in the DSO should have data mart status unchecked.

To be sure you can do a new init from the DSO to the cube after full repair is done to make sure that no existing data from the DSO to the cube again goes as delta.

You can also delete the old init and do an init with data transfer once the changes are in production.

Here again since you want history therefore you will have to delete the data from the cube.

1) Could I use repair full load and put all repair full separate by Fiscal year / period into one process chain? If yes, should I delete intial loading and rebuild intial loading without data transfer before running repair process chain?

2) How to setup repair full loading process chain: should I simply link all repair full loading infopackage without using create index and delete index, since I want to do it by manually before loading and after all loading finish?
