Dear Customer,

Note 2502552 is a prerequisite for running the Simplification Item Check tool in SAP systems. It provides the necessary framework and functionality for the tool to work properly. You cannot run Simplification Item Check without Note 2502552.

According to link SAP S/4HANA Simplification Item Check – How to do it right, The Simplification Item Check contains the Relevance Check and Consistency Check. Only the items are determined as Relevant will do the Consistency Check. When the return code in Consistency Check is higher than 7, SUM process will be affected and stopped. Before migrating the ERP system to S/4HANA, it is highly recommended to enable TCI, apply Note 2502552, run the SIC, and resolve any inconsistencies.

However, the other checks in SAP Readiness Check will not be affected by Note 2502552. Please see Note 2913617 - SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA.

Best regards,
Vera Jiang
