Is there is any way to encrypt SQL database passwords shows in the configuration settings files coming with the infomaker report exe. I have searched about the same in the community Q& A and didn't see any post related to this.Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Thomas;
This can normally be accomplished within your Database settings within your InfoMaker's DB Profile Painter. For example ...
1) Select the Trusted Connection Option in the Connection tab page to use your App User's MS-Windows login credentials.
2) Select the Encrypt Data in the System tab page to encrypt your password and data streams to & from your server.
3) Select the Encrypt Password in the Network tab page.
( From Appeon's IM 2017 version )
Note that the above options and others, are a factor of your DBMS and in particular the DBMS Client that you choose to connect with from your IM Applications. Whatever settings you use in the your IM DB Profile will be transferred to your IM built EXE's. Of course, you can over-ride these in the resulting EXE's INI file built by the IM IDE.
