Dear BW Gurus,
In the InfoCube or ODS what is the "QM Status of Request"? Is there any situation where we can change this to green?
Thanks
Raj
Hello RaJ,
How r u ?
The QM Status of Request is "Quality Maintenence of the Request". It is not only for InfoCube or ODS but also for other requests generated in R/3 or anywhere in SAP.
The general identification of these are
GREEN - SUCCESSFUL (Quality inspection is completed)
YELLOW- WARNING or Not yet Completed (Quality inspection not completely analyzed)
RED - ERROR (Quality is not good & and have to be inspected)
We can change the QM status of the request manually from any of the 3 to the others, this is done depending upon the situation. Even we will face some scenario to change Green to Red.
Best Regards....

Hi Raj,
The QM status is the indication of the data quality contained by that request. Hence it is applicable for all the requests whether it is in ODS or Cube or PSA.
Red: errornous data or some error to be inspected.
yellow : request still running
green: request loading is completed/ data is error free
Based on the situation u can manually change this status. For example.
1. Say in ur ODS there was some invalid character in the data package due to which request failed in ODS. In this case u can correct this record in PSA , make status green manually and update again.
2. In case of delta request failed we have to manually make the request status red to request repeat delta.
Hope this helps,
With Regards,
Wrushali

Hi Raj,
This is an indicator of the data load of the request. If the data load is successful, it is green. If it encountered some error, it will be red. If it the data load is still under progress, it will be in yellow state. Sometimes, you might want to change the status of the request to green. When you know that all the data has been updated/loaded/activated. Even the job for activation has finished but, the status is not changed, you might want to change the status to green manually. Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards
