Public Cloud - CDS Development - Eclipse

Hello All,

We are implementing SAP Public Cloud and have some requirements that has to be addressed by custom development. There are few questions in using CDS Views in SAP Public Cloud Only and use the view in SAC Live and Data Acquisition models?

1. Can I use Eclipse IDE for creating CDS views? SAP Note: 3016104 suggests it cannot be used?

2. Is it necessary to have COMPOSITE and CONSUMPTION views and associated annotations like @analytics.category: #CUBE and @analytics.query: TRUE - Any restrictions?

2. Once the CDS is created using Eclipse, what is the Binding Type to be used? InA-UI, OData V2 Web API?

3. Are there any step by step process?

You care create custom CDS views using ADT in the Development 80 client of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition if you are on 3 System Landscape. Prasanth, Thank you for the link. It has so much information and the simple answers I am looking for may be somehwre in the document. I have built the CDS and using Service Binding as OData V2 - API I am able to see the data. But I am looking to find ways whether there are any simple options and get to what I am looking for. Any specific answer to those pointed questions woul dhelp very much.
