I have a report which was used as template to create many reports. Only first report has P1 as prompt. Though P1 is not present in other reports, it is shown in prompt of other reports when the below steps are performed in order 1) Refresh 2) click cancel. or sometimes showsup randomly during multiple refresh of same report.
So randomly P1 prompt is shown in other reports . How to get rid of this erroneous prompt?
Has anyone faced the issue? Is there any other place where this linking of so called memory needs to be delinked?
Hi All,
After removing custom hierarchies of prompts, the bug disappeared.
Thanks,

Hi,
I am using IDT Bi 4.0. I dont see a option to choose class/universe in IDT. Can please advise where to see that in IDT.
Also note that genertaed script does not have any of the old prompts. This comes only when the report is refreshed multiple times. For example, i said P1, there are many prompts that comes like that for every report when there is no prompt like that in the report.
I am not creating prompts at universe level except for 1 prompt. All the prompts are webi level.
I face same problem with Webi and Richclient. we had raised issue with SAP. wanted to check if any of you have faced the same issue and if any solution got.
I read in another forum about the same issue but no resolution provided.

Hi Theja,
I guess you are copied block(s) from the old report to new report.
If that is the case then you'll get all the associated objects and prompts into the new report.

Hi, i created other reports based on the first template i created. during first few times of refresh of report ,prompts respective to report is shown . Suddenly from nowhere the old template prompts are chosen. I might have used blocks as well. But should that matter during initial selection and refresh of prompts?
Yes theja,
If you did Change source ,you should map the objects and remove the unwanted objects.
Don't copy and paste from the old report to new report. It'll cause problem.Check whether you have only 1 universe or the old universe also in the webi query panel (edit query).
Lastly try restarting Webi processing server , if you think its cache problem.
Hi,Theja ,
check the prompt have created at universe level, If it was Created in Universe then select the check box as per your requirement
Try to create prompt in webi level
1. if Apply On Universe is Enabled : it will apply for all universe classes so it will impact on all reports which are based on that Universe
2. Apply On Class: condition is applied to every object from that class. If I create additional objects and insert them into that class, these new objects will automatically inherit the same condition restriction without additional work from me
If your Using same class for all Report then un-check option Apply on Class,

Mahi

Hi Theja,
Have you checked the both possible sources of the problem?
-Query in Rich Client. If it's not created as filter in the copy of the source report, it should not appear unless it comes from Universe or Bex Query.
-Universe: review in order to aboid the last point.
Regards.
