Hi Folks, I am not a PS specialist. I do BW, and my user needs to associate a PS Project to customer. None of the business Content include any reference to a customer.
Is it not possible to link a customer to a PS Project, and to aggregate all Projects per customer?
Can we not link an SD order-to-build with the functionality of PS? Service Order with WBS functionality would be perfect, because we could show all labor costs, plus any purchased services, and it's all tied to a customer.
Can anyone elaborate on whether this is possible?
I have done some customer related projects as a BW and PS consultant. We enhanced the 0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR masterdata extractor with the customer / salesorder related fields. There are 2 ways 2 derive the salesorder related data.
1. select the sales order item from the VBAP (selection criteria is WBS-element). You must be carefull because it is possible that there is a 1 : n relation (WBS : salesorder-items).
2. Read salesorder data and customer from the settlement screen of the wbs-element. Usually the costs and revenues are settled to CO-PA and customer info is stored there. Here you must be carefull that cost can be booked on a lower lever of the WBS structure and allocation to CO-PA will mostly on a higher level (invoicing element).
