Hello All,

I am loading data from Flat file which are stored on my workstation.

If I want to create a Process Chain, Is it mandatory to keep the data on the Application server and not on the Client Workstation??

I created the Process Chain with the data present on my system. But when I start the Process Chain, it gives me a prompt for Server detail from where I want to run the process chain. If I give the server name and start the process chain, it fails at the Data load step.

THanks n Advance,

Abhishek

HI Abhishek,

It is mandatory that the file to be loaded thru process chain should be kept in application server

Hi Abhishek

As per my knowledge we cant do a flatfile extarction in process chain via client

work station. Its only possible via application server.

Ask the basis people to place u r file in the particular location via tel net .

The path we can identify via AL11 as our Ravi said earlier .

Hi Abhishek,

You can use transaction AL11 to see all the directories [of ur appln server]. You can ask the Basis personnel to keep the file in the applns erver & get the path name & check it using AL11.
