process chain - see process without refreshing every time

is there a possibility to watch the progress of a process chain without refreshing the windoe every time?

Hi Axel,

I have seen some of the clients using 3rd party tools for the reason - administartion and monitoring. One of the tools I know is UC4.

Hi Axel,

No. You would need to refresh to see the latest stage as of BW 3.5. In BI 7.0 you ahve a admin cockpit where you can watch the progress of a chain using a portal page.

One solution would be to create message - both success and failure for all the processes in the chain so that you can know the status of the chain in your inbox (mailbox) without having to log on to the BW system.
