Hi

We have one trex 7 on win2003 SR2 .

We wants to add another backup server .

To do that we try to configuring centralized data storage on both servers.

On some file server we create a share file name
myserver\trx02 with permission everybody full controll and SAPServiceSID as owner.

On the TREXdaemon.ini under mappings we write

map_s=
myserver\trx02

user_s=SAPServiceSID

password_s=xxxxx

in the base path we enter :

  1. base paths

TREX/IndexServer/basepath/index=S:/index

TREX/IndexServer/basepath/slaves=S:/index

TREX/IndexServer/basepath/slices=S:/slices

TREX/IndexServer/basepath/snapshots=S:/snapshots

TREX/QueueServer/basepath/queue=S:/queue

TREX/Cruiser/basepath/cruise=S:/cruise

We restart the server , open the trex administration tool , check the "use a file server" and then press on the check button :

We get error message :

" directory 'myserver:s' does not exist or is not accessible".

Please Advice

Regards

Amit

Hi Venkatramana

Thank you for your quick reply .

When i open the trace file i see that the mapping succeed:

"established drive mapping from share
myserver\trx02 to drive s:

I think the problem is in the base path configuration .

Hi Amit,

Try giving the IP Address or FQDN (Fully qualified domain name)..

Also check the slash in the path (\ or /).

It differs for Unix and windows.

Venkat.
