Problem installation 4.2 SP5 to 4.2 SP7

Hello,

We have upgraded from SAP BI 4.2 SP5 to 4.2 SP7 with a patch.

We then redeployed the wdeploys.

We also stopped and restarted the BI servers.

When we connect to the CMC, and click to "Help"> "About…", the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform is noted in BI 4.2 Support Pack 5. The same version is noted when we connect to SAP BI > "Help ">" About… ".

But when we go to the Web Intelligence application, and we go to "Help"> "About…", the version is noted in 4.2 Support Pack 7 Patch 7.

Why, version 4.2 SP7 is only taken into account for the Web Intelligence application?

In addition, when we open BO reports, this error appears: (Error: RWI 00200) (Error: INF).

The error also occurs when we want to create a new report.

We have verified that the servers on the CMC are activated.

Do you have any answers?

Thanks

Hello,

We realized that the TOMCAT was installed on another server. We have a server for BI, and another server for the Front End. This is why we did not have the version update when we connected to BI via the web.

While installing SAP BI 4.2 SP7 (from 4.2 SP5), we encounter an other error.

For the same environment, we have 2 servers, a BI server and a WEB server (front-end).

We made a first installation on the BI server which it was correctly carried out. We had filled in the "response_rcf.ini" file and launched the command: "./setup.sh -InstallDir /usr/logiciel/SAPBI -r ./response_rcf.ini"

We then started the installation on the WEB server by recreating a "response_rcf.ini" file and using the same command line.

We went to see the logs in the /tmp directory.

An error appears in the created log folder "2021.09.13.17.10.46". See the “cat ErrorsAndWarnings.log” in the attachment.

We then wanted to reload the logs, but the log folder "2021.09.13.17.10.46" has disappeared !

Do you know how to resolve the error ?

Can you tell us where to find the logs and how to know if the execution was successful ?

Thanks

Try emptying the Tomcat working directory, it might help.

stop tomcat --> delete the content of the tomcat's work directory --> start tomcat --> log in after approx. 5 minutes (Time to rebuild the Tomcat working directory, depending on your system performance)

We had already done this manipulation yesterday : stop tomcat, then delete the content of the tomcat's work directory and start tomcat.

I just did it again, but the problem is still there.
