Problem connecting ESS/MSS iviews to backend

Hi,

I am using ESS/MSS package(webdynpro) on EP 7.0. I have set the portal system, SLD and JCO connections to refer to ERP CLNT 150 which is based on netweaver 2004s with Integrated ITS.

But when I m running the ivews its poiting to ERP CLNT 120 by default for fetching the data. Though I have mentiond the Client as 150 in portal system, SLD and JCO conections that is user by the ivews.

Any suggestions why its pointing to CLNT 120 instead of Clnt 150.

Is the problem lies in portal or there are some config to be made in backend.

Regards

Debasish

Hi Depasish,

Two posibility is there,

1) Check ur JCO configuration

i.e

Select a Connection (for example, SAP_R3_Financials_MetaData) and click on create.

Enter Client Number. (Here, ???)

2) Check ur SAP_R3 system configuration under portal

i.e

Application host: <application host or IP address>

Remote Host Type: 3

<b>SAP Client: <client number></b>

SAP System ID (SID): <System Id>

SAP System Number: <system number>

Server Port:<Port Number>(32<instance_number>)

System Type: <type of system> (here, SAP_R3)

any query revert back.

Hi Kaushal,

I have checked both the JCo Connections and the portal system. Everywhere its mentioned CLNT 150.

Still its going to CLNT 120.

Is any configuration is to be made in the backend because of which it may be bypassed to CLNT 120 by CLNT 150. For backend I m using ERP which is based on netweaver 2004s.

Also in SLD configurations is it required to provide the <b>Internet Transaction Server</b> Url?

Any Suggestuion??

Hi Debasish,

It's strange!!

no configuration is to be made in the backend for client.

and no need to give URL of ITS under SLD

Hi,

Did u change CLNT from 120 to 150 in SLD after creating JCO connections,

If so remove the JCO connections and try creating

the JCO Connections again as you did changes in the sld.

I am not sure, just give it a try.

Hope it works

Make sure your JCO destinations and your portal system objects are pointing to the same client.
