Preferred File System for Sybase Anywhere v12 in Linux

We are in the process of upgrading our existing Sybase Anywhere installations to v. 12 and would like recommendations as to what file system type to use under Linux. Our current installations are using EXT3 but I'm seeing that we probably don't want to use a journaling file system at all.

any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Wen

Each file system has benefits and drawbacks so I am not going to recommend one to you.

You should have a look at this whitepaper on SQL Anywhere I/O Requirements for Windows and Linux since any Linux file system that you pick must have the minimum required semantics guaranteed.
