Dears,
I've been looking at combining SAP Mendix and SAP BTP and I noticed there are examples on how to create a SAP Mendix app and deploying it on SAP BTP. Reference: Get Started with SAP Rapid Application Development by Mendix | Tutorials for SAP Developers
Now I wanted to try out and fetch data from an on-premise S/4 HANA system instead of connecting to SAP's demo system (NW Gateway) in the cloud.
I've set everything up from a technical points of view in terms of prerequisites for that connectivity and I was ready to deploy the Mendix app on SAP BTP. When I deploy the app, it fails because the postgrSQL service on SAP BTP was not properly created. The Mendix platform tried to create the service and failed, I've tried it myself manually via SAP BTP and also that deployment fails. The deployment complains about entitlement not being met although my subaccount states 1/1 postgrSQL on hyperscaler (free tier) is available for deployment, I cannot get it deployed.
Can SAP help me out on this?
Best regards
Tom
Request clarification before answering.
Hi nessitech,
I am not sure if the wizard is faulty because I already had a postgres-free instance created in my account before.
So, please try creating the free instance using CF CLI to see any error messages.
I just used the wizard in BTP's Cockpit to get the json string to use in the command line. With that, I was able to create it again. However, if I delete it I cannot create it again right away. Probably because AWS doesn't terminate VMs right away and we cannot see its status via command line. So if you did like me, I would suggest trying to create it again after 24h of deletion via command line.
Best regards,
Ivan
