Hi guys,

I played last week a little bit in our test system with portal. I created some iviews, pages and so on. Everything worked fine, but after that I got the following error message:

Exception ID:08:57_26/02/09_0114_108079250

Full Message Text

application [webdynpro/dispatcher] Cannot send an HTTP error response [500 Application error occurred during request processing. (details: java.lang.NullPointerException: null)].

The error is: com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.WebIOException: An attempt to write after the stream had been closed.

Exception id: [00096B6ED0DC005D00000D04000FE040000463CDA3BA805F]

I think I changed some permissions, but I am not sure were. So now I can not log in to my BI web applications and web queries.

thanks in advance for any help

Regards

Erwin

maybe I should add, that last week everything was OK. I could use my web application and web query without any problems. On friday I created some iviews in portal and I played with roles as well, I think I had to change something, because now I can not log into any web applications at all.

What is strange if I log into the portal at first and after that I try to open my web application (in separate window) everything works fine, but if I try to open web templates without log in to portal at first I get error message.

My web applications are not "integrated" into portal, I mean they are not iviews.

The Portal Content Directory path must have changed.

Go to your Backend configuration and Update the new PCD path

I think in Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Folder Portal Content - > permissions I pressed "Reset child permissions"

Can it be the reasion?

I do not know why but I can not press the "Restore Inheritance" it is inactive.

thanks all,

I found already the solution:

Go to content administration.

In the PCD locate the iview folder under portal_content/com.sap.pct/platform_add_ons/com.sap.ip.bi/iViews

right click and choose open permissions.

ensure you have a everyone group added here and the enduser box checked.
