portal can not access the internet

Hi,

I'm trying to create URL iView that will access an internet web site but it seems to have an access problem.

There isn't any proble to access the internet through the portal server via IE.

Does anyone know if there should be any configuration and/or proxy setting on the application server that will enable the portal to access the web.

Thanks

Ami

Hi Ami,

if your portal server needs to access a proxy (and maybe this has been set within the IE), you also have to set this on the portal. See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/8d/8e0c7e477e4239a7ee288d7846a0bb/frameset.htm and there under "System Properties for Proxy Server".

Hope it helps

The probelm Solved! I had to configure the proxy setting on the server to be able using the capturing feature, and that although I'm using client side on the fetch mode property.

Thanks Detlev

Hi Detlev,

Thanks for help. I realized that the basic URL iView works fine. My problem begin when I try to capture part of a web site, then I'm getting "loading..." message and it remain without loading the site.

What should be done in order to be able load the web site in the capture mode ?

Thanks
