Hi Gurus,

I have created users in portal and assigned them system admin and content admin roles. I have given them permissions also to work with.

But, when they are trying to create an iview in portal content.

The error it was displaying is:

Portal Runtime Error

An exception occurred while processing a request for :

iView : N/A

Component Name : N/A

Access denied (Object(s): portal_content/com.sap.pct/admin.templates/iviews/editors/com.sap.portal.iviewWizard).

Exception id: 09:59_27/06/08_0019_4808950

See the details for the exception ID in the log file

Any suggestion is highly appreciated

Regards,

Kiran

Hi,

The problem occurs when a design tool fails to run, because the user does not have permissions for the relevant iView.

For example, you want to run the Page wizard (to create a new page), but you have no end-user-read permission on the wizardu2019s iView (Default Page Wizard).

● Addressed problems: permissions problem on portal editor/wizard

● Component in focus: portal design-time environment

● Applicable when working with the portal, trying to run a specific object editor/wizard

and the solution is...

1. Go to System Administration ® Permissions.

2. Browse to the relevant object and right-click ® Edit Permissions.

3. Add end-user-read permission to the relevant user (or one of the groups or roles the user is assigned to).

4. Ask the relevant user to refresh the browser.

for more details.... check this link

May be this due to some authorization issue

post logs

login to ur portal machine

go to the following path /usr/sapDE1/DE1/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log

here u will find log files in the for of defaultTraceX.trc

where x is a no ranging from 1-19. check which is the most recently updated file and then find the error no within the file.
