Port In BOXI Edge 3.1 Standard Edition

Hi,

I am migrating my production server to data centre. Firewall is one of my concern after migrated to data centre. As from dc suport admin, they have thier firewall policies which only allowed port 43, 80, 25 & 587. However, i am using WACS as a web application currently and the port was 6405. I am considering to redeploy Tomcat for hosting BO web application, is it possible to change the Tomcat port from 8080 to 80? and i also noticed that when login to InfoView, we need to specify the system / computer name where BOE server installed. Eg: BOEServer:6400 then following by user login crednetial. I am wondering if my firewall does not open this 6400 port, can we still access into InfoView from ourside of data centre?

Appreciated yours kind advice.

Thanks.

Regards,

Chee Koon

infoview only needs the web port not the CMS (only client tools will need this), if tomcat it's in the server.xml located in BOinstall\tomcat55\conf

if WACS then it's set in the CMC > servers > web application container server > properties

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

In this case, if my server having two different IP, i still can go to the WACS properties to assign the IP address? The reason was one IP will b used for IIS, the others want will b used for Tomcat but both of this are sitting on the same server.

You'll probably need to test it. I haven't seen how it works in this configuration before, maybe someone else has.
