Hi Kelly,

As per documentation we must have one dimenssion to create an pie chart.

We cannot create pie chart with all the measure values, however you can use following trick to achive your goal.

1. Create report with all measure values.

2. Create new varaible as mention below.

3. The Final Output :

Hope this trick will help you to achive the final goal.

I have got a solution for the scenario in one of my project.

I had 5 measures in the report and I was suppose to display the cumulative value of the 5 measures in a Pie Chart.

As my source was Bex so I made a structure in the Bex Query and finally got the cumulative value of all 5 measures in a form of crosstab in webi.

Then I have created a new variable and get all 5 cumulative values to a single column and used in Pie chart.

I don't have the Bex Query, is there a way where i can create variable with Status + Total in one column and use it for Pie Chart

Hi Kelly,

Please refer the SAP note: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3226478. In which i have shown the pie chart with only measure object. It is necessary to have the dimension object to create a pie chart if you will see the properties of the pie chart, it means in somehow we need to arrange all our measure into single measure object and have dummy dimension object.

Please refere the note. Feel free to post your reply if any issue.

Kelly,

You can define One  measure Value as dimension on report Level and check its Feasibility at your level.

Once defined as dimension you can take the measure in the Pie chart, however still it has its own limitation and will work on case to case basis.

Cheers !!

Hi Kultar,

I'm having the same issue like Kelly. Can you tell more how to defne one measure value as dimension?

Thanks!

Hi Kelly,

I think you would require one Dimension. And if the measure is not any aggregated value, you can try to define it as a Dimension and then check.

Thanks,

Kirthi

Hi Kelly,

There should be atleast one dimension object in order to create a chart. This is a pre requisite.

Can you brief your requirement.

Attached, I have an aging column chart that has all measures.  They are the totals from aging

buckets...taken from a simple horizontal table, also attached.  I want a pie chart as it better shows percentages of the whole.

Hi Kelly,

As per my knowledge, you can use only one measure object in a Pie-Chart. If you have several measures in your report, you should choose another chart type.

Hope this helps.

Sai is right,

another option would be to export the table to XLS and then unite a set of measures under a dimension,  most likely the x axis

Thanks
