Personas 3.0 SAP GUI and Scripting - Does not work after an update on the laptop - Why?

Hi.
I know the Java scripting is developed in SAP GUI Html and then it should use SAP Scripting to run the java scripts in SAP  GUI Windows. And I am the one developing the flavors by the way so I know how it works but I do not know the technical connection between SAP Personas java scripting developed in SAP GUI Html to the execution of the java in SAP GUI Windows.

It has worked for me all the way until now. An update happened to my laptop and since then the java scripting is not executed in SAP GUI Windows. With other words. SAP Personas does not work for me.
When I am logging into a citrix server (Same userID) and run the SAP from there then it works.
I have also tried on the client to remove the check marks for Scripting but actually even though I am doing this on my client in Citrix then SAP Personas still works and run the java but when I am doing it directly from my laptop where I am connected to the network through VPN it does not work. Nether with scripts activated or deactivated.
And until the update on my laptop I didn't have any issues at all. I have spent hours with the tech team and we cannot really find the issue.
Can anyone tell me which DLL, Setting or whatever is missing that might causing SAP Personas java scripts not to run on SAP GUI Windows.
Thanks
Thor

As it is known, Personas scripts in SAP GUI for Windows are not always running the same as they do in a browser, since the JavaScript capabilities of the Windows GUI are restricted. It is always better to consume flavors in a browser session instead of WinGUI.

With that said, if a script was working OK in the Windows GUI earlier, then it ought to work after a Windows update too. The first thing I'd suggest is trying to test the issue with the latest available WinGUI version and patch level, and if that is still not working, then create a customer support incident for component BC-FES-GUI (not BC-PER). It is the Windows GUI support team's job to help with issues related to Personas flavor consumption there.

Thanks for the reply Tamas. I know SAP GUI Windows is not always running the same way.

I have made all the java scripting to take into consideration what does not work in SAP GUI Windows.
And everything worked on my laptop as well until the update. I have the same version when I log into Citrix and start SAP and this way everything works in SAP GUI Windows so I think it is strange why it does not work from my laptop. And as I mention. It has worked.

But I have asked the tech team to update the version to 800 PL10. If it still does not work then I will open a case for SAP as you are suggesting.

Hi Tamas.

I will like to thank you for your recommendation.
I did update my SAP GUI Windows version to latest version and then still it didn't work so I opened a case for the SAP GUI Team.
And I will like to share that this is a known issue and the bug is caused by Microsoft and SAP is talking to Microsoft about it but until it is solved there is a workaround.

It is described in this SAP note.
3549619 - Windows 11 24H2: SAP Screen Personas scripting in SAP GUI for Windows no longer works
