Personas 3.0 Multiple Sessions

Former Member

Our company is evaluating Personas 3.0 and we ran into a problem with multiple sessions. It appears that after upgrading to Personas 3.0, we can only have one session. Is there a setting or a way to change this so that we can use "/o" commands to open a tcode in a new session in Personas 3.0?

Thanks!

No.

Personas 3.0 only allows a single session since it's built into the webgui and that has this limitation.

In fact, even in Personas 2.0 this was no different. With using /o a new logon session was created, not a new user session. You could observe this in SM04: each logon session had a single user session.

If that satisfies your requirement, you can do this in 3.0 as well, but you'd have to use a different method instead of a transaction button. For instance, a website button with the correct URL parameters would achieve the same.

Of course you'd have to take care of logging off all the new sessions you create this way. Logging out of a user session will not end the other logon sessions.
