Hi
Slowly I´m getting really angry because of the permission-system in SAP EP.
I have the public collaboration room "SAP NetWeaver Portal". If somebody enters this room (public role), he should be able to download documents and read news. Another person (content manager role) should be able to upload documents and to post news. I have applied a second public role extra, because it was not possible to configure the predefined public role as initial role!!!
But it doesn´t matter whether the person entering the portal has a public role or a content manager role. Everybody is allowed to upload documents and to post news. How can I restrict the permission to publish?
Thanks for help.
Regards,
Sven
Hi Sven,
don't get angry, the weekend "steht vor der Tür" Relax!
I already feared that you would misuse the "Information Site" template
The concept of this template is that it has a public part(! not that it is a public room!) and that within the rooms there are content managers who can publish some content. So all room members are "editors", all non-room-members are readers of the public room area.

Hope it helps

Hi Detlev
I hope you can help me solving my problems with collaboration rooms.
Here my target scenario:
I have a workset in the portal containing different pages, each page for another part of the company (SRM, CRM, SAP NetWeaver, SAP NetWeaver Portal,...).
Every page contains a HTML-iView and a KM-Navigation-iView with links to the discussiongroup and to the collaboration room for this theme (SRM, CRM,...).
Now I want a collaboration room where I have an admin-user (me) and, e.g., two content managers (2 colleagues) and all other users entering this collaboration room can see and download the documents provided by the two content managers.
I don´t find any possibility to realize that. In my opinion, the "Information Site" is the right template, but that doesn´t work as described in my first post. You describe the concept of the the template but I really can´t comprehend it. Where is the public part of the room, which everybody can see (without invitation).
Regards,
Sven
