PDK 6.0 or PDK 5.0?

Hi,

I am supposed to develop content for EP6.0. I have no Netweaver Developer Studio.

Do I need to install PDK 6.0 over PDK 5.0 or can it be installed independently. Any Docu on how to install PDk6.0 would be appreciated.

SP2 or SP3++?

For SP2, you just need Eclipse & PDK 60.2.2 (https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/downloaditem.sdn?res=/html/PDK60_download.htm) with it's Eclipse plugins.

Only needed for SP3++.

PDK is something completely different for EP5 & EP6. For EP5 it was something like a "Developer Edition" of the portal running on Tomcat. For EP6, it is role content for the "real" portal. So you see that "install PDK 6.0 over PDK 5.0" is a sentence which does not make sense in this different environments.

For 60.2.2 it's just a role upload. For SP3++ the way is different, but in this case, first search the forum, there are many posts about this (if you need it).
