Hi everybody
I have a problem with purchase order output.
Fax and print are both using the same Smartform. While margins are OK when outputting to printers (a default margin is added to Smartform left margin), faxmachines do not have such a default margin, so that the purchase order is very close to the left paper edge and some of it is removed.
What can I do to add a larger margin when fax output is selected, knowing nobody at my office wants to hear about creating a new Smartform or modifying ABAP program?
Thanks for helping me
Kind regards
Thierry
Hello Thierry - I was wondering if you have resolved your issue with the margins on the PDF/Fax output. We are experiencing the same issues after our recent upgrade to SAP ERP6.0. I have an active message open with SAP and they provided the following response:
This is the same reason, why you have problems with PDF:
The PDF conversion works like the Postscript print, so also
here no left margin in the Smartform will lead to a cut off on the
left side of the print of the PDF file (except you set the flag
'Page scaling: Fit to printable area' in the Adobe Reader, when
you print the PDF file from there). The same is valid for the
fax of the PDF data, except you have the possibility
to do a 'Page scaling' in the fax software, too.
Our company is very reluctant to set 'page scaling ' in the fax software due to the impact on other forms so I was wondering if you've resolved your issue.

Laura Wilkinson
