Dear Team,

I have following qustions on SAP S/4HANA fully-activated appliance for on-premise deployment

1. We want to deploy fully-activated appliance on-premise.
2. We do not have physical hardware.
3. Can I install this on a virtual instance created in Azure cloud?
4. We do not want to go for sap cal option.

Another question.
1. We looked at https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2041140
2. Are we qualified for "TD_..." license for Test&Demo (On-Premise Solutions - Excluding SAP Business One) or Development (On-Premise Licensing for Development, Test, and Demonstration - Excluding SAP Business One) ?
3. As per this can you tell me are we entitled for downloading and using fully-activated appliance on-premise for free and without any need for paying additional subscription cost.
4. If answer for 2 and 3. are yes, please tell us how can we proceed?

Hello Atul,

yes, you can install the appliance also on your own Azure-based hardware if it fulfils the requirements (sizing, ...).

As specified in note 2041140, you will need to have fitting licenses. If you are an SAP partner and are in doubt about your license status, please check with your partner manager.

The order process is explained in the note (in essence: open an incident).
