Options while creating Virtual Cube in BW3.x

Hi Everyone,

My ques. is regarding the options that we see while creating a Virtual Cube :-

1. If we select SAP Remote Cube, we see a check box that says "Clear Source ".

2. If we select Gen. Remote Cube, we see a check box that says " Execute Conv. Exit".

3. Option named "With Services"

Can anyone tell me that what do these Options mean and what do they do ?

<b>SAP RemoteCube:</b>

A SAP RemoteCube allows you to define queries with direct access to transaction data in other SAP systems.

"Clear Source" indicator: You can define if a unique source system is assigned to the InfoCube using this indicator. Otherwise you must select the source system in the relevant query. In this case the characteristic (0LOGSYS) is added to the InfoCube definition. If you select this indicator 0LOGSYS char. is not added in the cube.

<b>Gen. Remote Cube:</b>

A RemoteCube is an InfoCube whose transaction data is not managed in the Business Information Warehouse but externally. Only the structure of the RemoteCube is defined in BW. The data is read for reporting using a BAPI from another system.

<b>Virtual InfoCube with Services:</b>

A virtual InfoCube with Services is an InfoCube without its own physical data store in BW. A user-defined function module is used as a data source. If you choose Virtual InfoCube with Services as the type for your InfoCube, an extra Detail pushbutton appears on the interface. This pushbutton opens an additional dialog box, in which you define the services. The Data Manager provides services for the conversion of parameters and the data in accordance with these properties.
