Opcion Replace table and datasource on views of DWC ?

In DWC cloud can you switch data source en las table changes without damaging the created all views where used it?

Example1: I have a sales view which all the tables point to the S / 4HANA connection on-premise DEV and then I need these tables equal to bridge to the S74HANA connection on-primes QAS. You can make the change or touch create from new the views connected to new source?

Example 2: I have a sales view which all the tables point to the S / 4HANA connection on-premise DEV and then I need these tables to be connected to HANA on-primes, taking into account that the table structure is exactly the same. Can the change be made in an easy way without damaging the view or touching create another view connected to this new data source?

Hi,

The views do not have the option of replace tables or connections.

Considering that relations between objects in DWC are:

Connection > Source Table (in source system) > Table in DWC (repository) > DWC Objects (Views, E/R, DF, DA)

You can change the connection data to point to new server or update the user/pass, but you can't change de type of connection (SQL Server type to S/4HANA type).

If technical name for Source Table is the same, the relation between "Source Table" (that is dependant on connection) and "Table in DWC" will be untouched, and this will not affect to other DWC Objects.

An example with S/4 HANA Cloud,

Connection: S/4HANACloud > Remote Table: /ABAP_CDS/I_BUSINESSPARTNER/MasterData > DWC Table: S4C_BusinessPartner > DWC View: V_BusinessPartners

Change Connection: S/4HANACloud from Quality to Production has no effect because remote table has the same technical name and same fields in both environments.
