Hello,
I was reading blogs and forums about NWDI and had certain questions regarding it:
1) What is a track used for ?(Is it assigned a physical disk space or is just a logical container)
2) The runtime systems to which NWDI is connected are DEV,QAT and PRO then where does this Consolidation system fitin which I think is not a Runtime system.
3) What is the use of creating a second(Maintenance) track ?
Any help would be highly appreciated..
Thanks for the reply.
We actually have 3 runtime systems as DEV,QAT and PRO ,what's the best method to go for then in our scenario ,where would be the Consolidation system?
When I try to import the Development Configuration file ,I see a track for development and a track for consolidation,
how would I link this consolidation track in our scenario?
Looking forward to your reply.

It is logical . sits in the database ,even thought the track contents looks like folders . but they are not

Consolidation is alos a runtime system as DEV . i would recommend to use QAT as consolidation instead of Test
3) What is the use of creating a second(Maintenance) track ?
This is used as bug fix track , for example you are doing SPS . on runtime systems . you can use this track to fix yout PRD issue
