Hi All,
When installing a Netweaver 2004s system, if we use a fully qualified hostname on AIX (for example, aix34.sap.com), the Prerequisite Checker will get an error referencing SAP Note 611361. We have gotten around this error by temporary changing the hostname to the short name (for example, aix34). Has anyone else run into this? If so, how did you get around it?
Thanks!

Hi,
hostname command on unix should always show only the first piece of the FQDN.
But in your /etc/hosts file you can additional alias for the FQDN as shown.
172.17.8.115 aix34 aix34.sap.com
