Hi
I ma trying to subscribe to a document, so when it changes I could get the notification..thou it gives this error.
The operation failed: Subscription: couldn't find a valid channel for all recipients
I have added the email smtp server, user, password in sys adm-> sys config-> utilities-> channels-> email
I do not get the recent notifications iview as well.
Do i need to assign this iview to a role?
Hi RD,
the message simply tells you that the choosen channel cannet be accessed for all recipients.
This means, if you choose e.g. EMAIL as channel, all recipients of the subscription MUST have a email address configured at their user. If you subscribe 1000 people with a subscription, and choose channel EMAIL and only a single selected user doesn't have a email address, you can't create the subscription. (I know this is not nice...)
So make sure that all recipients are able to receive notifications through the selected channel.
Regards
Dirk

Hi ,
IS ur email functionality otherwise working? In the sense are you able to send mail from the sendTo functionality. If this is not a problem then Check whether the notification service is activated at KM-CM- Global services- Notificator service and everyone has read permissions on the etc/notifications folder.
If send mail functionality itself is not working then you are missing out some step, kindly refer to the links provided by Robert.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Uma.
