Hi All,
I am not able to start the import server due to following error.
Starting mdis
Sending info to nohup.out ...
/usr/sap/ACI/users/aciadm/bin/mdis[56]: 1244 Memory fault(coredump)
Please give me any idea how to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Narendra

Paste the Import Server logs.
Try to uninstall the Import Server and again install the Import server. Also try to reboot the server.

Hi narendra,
Use tail -100 nohup.out command to get the exact reason written in nohup.out file. I think the problem is related to memory allocation to MDM user. In UNIX, every user is given some memory space which is to be increased in case of MDM. Ask your basis guy to check this and set the memory for MDM user to Unlimited.

Hi,
Refer the Import Server Logs. Let us know what you find there.
Also restarting the entire MDM Package would help. Follow the below order
1. Bring down the Import & Syndication Server .
2. Bring down the MDM Server.
3. Bring down the Database Server.
4. Restart the Database Server
5. Restart the MDM Server.
6. Restart the Import & Syndication Server.
A complete restart of the package should help .
Thanks,
SA
