NoLogonDataAvailableException: No ticket in user object

Hi,

I'm trying to enrich a Java HttpURLConnection object with the logon ticket (as described in the weblog here: )

However, I'm getting a NoLogonDataAvailableException with message: No ticket in user object.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Do I need to perform any prior setup?

Does it matter how I retrieve the IUser object? Currently, I do this to get the IUser object:

UMFactory.getUserFactory().getUserByLoginID(...)

instead of

request.getUser()

Thanks.

I think you need to use request.getUser, since if you do not the user hasn't logged in to the system and therefore the usermappings/password have not been enriched.

Thanks Dagfinn. I suspected as much, but it's always nice to have my suspicions confirmed.
