1. create the corresponding InfoObject and key figures in BI(if they are not availeable in the business content)

2. create the DataStore and InfoCube (if they are not availeable in the business content)

3. Replicate the DataSource and use emulation if it is a 3.x DataSource (white dot next to the technical name)

4. Create Transformation between DataSource and DataStore

and Create a transformation between DataStore and InfoCube

5. Create a DTP from DataSoure to DataStore and a additional one from DataStore to InfoCube

6. Create a InfoPackage to load the data from the Source to the DataSource (PSA)

7. Create a Process Chain and put the InfoPackage and the DTP's in the correct order in the Chain

8. Start the the Process Chain..

Hope this helps

When you replicated the datasource, did you do this as a BW 3.x datasource or a new 2004s datasource?

Hi sundaresan,

In 2004s no need to create infosource. You can directly assign the data source to Info cube thru DTP. No need to create a ODS unless or otherwise required.

I hope this will help you to start with.
