I have a requirement that in Source system a new field is added and that field should be added to existing BW report that should be editable by the customers. That field is actually a ranking field and here ITem is the master data. Please suggest how to implement this in IP.
another option would be to map the soource field to an infoobject, flag its plan mode, create an ALVL on that and thus be able to plan new master data on it.
If it is a key figure then just add it to bex and set as "input-ready".
If it is a characteristic then it is more complex: your IP model must be on planning DSO, then you will be able to set characteristic as key figure and plan on it.
