Hello all,
Is there a presentation or PDF out there somewhere that documents SAP's planned interoperability with .NET across all of its NetWeaver products?
For example, XI. I was told that you can develop either in ABAP or Java with XI, but what about .Net integration? I'm looking for some answers or XI and the rest of the NetWeaver family of products to see SAP's intentions/plans for them.
Many thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike,
interoperability between NetWeaver and .NET is a wide area. We have done quite some work to document the various integration scenarios and their individual options in the SDN <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/dotnet">.NET Interoperability</a> section.
As a start there is our <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2a95e990-0201-0010-31ac-f701cbdb2ccd">roadmap presentation</a>, which gives an overview over all key interop topics.
Related to your question around XI you will find there documents around development with the .NET Connector as well as around establishing communication between XI and Microsoft BizTalk. If you are looking at ways, how to produce and consume web services in .NET, I would recommend MSDN or the Visual Studio documentation.
