as an additional to my Abap programming i want to learn an additional language / Environment for programming SAP-applications.

What do you think is more worth a look (and why / or why not) :

- .NET Connector with C# or VB.NET

- Java with Eclipse (and all the J2EE Stuff)

Hi Henning,

SAP Web AS 6.20 and SAP NetWeaver 04 have a full blown Java stack, including a Development Studio based on Eclipse and a Development Infrastructure for. SAPs strategy for building new user interfaces is on Web Dynpro for Java. Web Dynpro is an environment for generating professional UIs. Its model driven approach minimizes manual coding and uses visual tools to design and reuse UI components, it is based on Eclipse and a flexible Model-View-controller architecture. A J2EE perspective in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio delivers full support for developing, testing and debugging all kinds of components and applications following the J2EE standard 1.3. like EJBs, Servlets, and JSPs.

Just my two cents

Hope that helps!
