Need to put ALERT message in the SUBJECT area of e-mail.

Hi All:

Our users are asking to provide ALERT message in the subject area of e-mail so that they can quickly fix the problems. Need to attach the SYSTEM ID to the e-mail SUBJECT.

As for as I know ALM puts the procees ID in the subject. Does anyone has any idea how to achieve this??

Your inputs are really appreciated.

Thanks,

Venkat.

You cannot customize the subject of Alerts triggered using the control step of a BPM

You can customise the Alerts to a certain degree. I've followed the information in the links below. One word of warning, if you suspect an application may generate a lot of Alerts should it fail then check...'Suppress Multiple Alerts of This Rule'. During testing we shut of DEV and QA systems down as the Alerts use dialog processes and can soon clog the system up.

HI,

In the ALRTCATDEF Under the Long and short text tab. Write you message under the Message title.

This will display in subject of the email.

Thanks and Regards,

I am using dynamic text and filling the container variables in the BPM. I am constructing the alert text in BPM.

In that case, you can not use the container variables to fill the subject!!
